Mindful Vitality Play

Menthal Health Project funded by Erasmus+

Subject: Mobile Phone off, life on!

by David Rios and Participants of the Project

Last July we celebrated in Berlin a project dedicated to live in the moment and leave aside all the worries that concern us in our day to day life.

Mobile Phone off-life on

The project was called MVP: Mindful Vitality Play, it was held at Abenteurzentrum Berlin from the 14th to the 22nd of July and its objectives were to use sport and mindfulness as tools to work on the mental health of the young participants, so that they in turn could share these learnings with their immediate environment!
Throughout the project we carried out different activities both sport and mindfulness based, helping participants to become more aware of their own emotions and feelings, and offering them tools to express and deal with them in the most effective way possible.

For example, one of the highlights of the project was that all participants spent 3 days without access to any kind of technological device, so that they could focus on themselves and the present they were living in.

Berlin Experience

Of course, if the project was successful, it was all thanks to the great group of participants who came to the project and the family they were able to be with each other, so I think it is best to leave you with some of the words with which the participants themselves have described their experience!

Mindfulness Vitality Proyect this summer has been by far the best experience I have lived.

Not just enjoying the week in the forest connecting with people from different countries but doing it without the phones has made us see each others to the souls.
I believe that these kind of boundaries will never break and it's something to be very proud and grateful for.
Thank you!!”

Real connection between participants

This project was certainly different from what I am used to. While it is true that participating in any Erasmus Project implies meeting people from all over the world, it seems to me that disconnecting from our digital life allowed us to connect better with each other. There were also some difficulties at first, trying to “survive” without our phones, but the fact that we were all in the same situation made us overcome them as a group and definitely improved our bonds. I did enjoy every single moment of the project and hope to engage in a similar project with the organizers soon.

Reconnection through Sport and other Activities

The experience was amazing, the people there felt like a family. At first i thougt that the activities werent going to be so interesting but i was surprised by them, i think all of us really connected with the idea of the project. Being without phones helped with this idea of connecting, not just with the project but also between us. I am so grateful for the opportunity of living this project, which was organised with so much love.

Happy together

And just in case this is not enough for you, several participants have also written articles or published posts with more photos so you can enjoy the experience too!
